Lakes of Ristolas
Lacs de Ségure or Lacroix lakes (2383 m)
The Ségure lakes are just 50 m apart. They can be reached from Ristolas (1590 m) up the Ségure valley.
Lake Lestio (2510 m)
Sandwiched between 3000 m peaks at Ristolas, Lac Lestio at the foot of Mont Viso feels like a lake at the end of the world. It's here, in the nearby scree, that the Guil river rises, feeding the lake along the way.
Lac de Clot Sablé (2720 m)
Lac de Clot Sablé, on the left bank of the Guil, is a mirror image of the Viso.
Lake Egorgéou (2394 m)
Baricle Lake (2415 m)
Lac Baricle (2415 m) is a small lake in Ristolas, slightly above Lac Egorgeou. It is considerably smaller, but just as enchanting.
Lac Foréant (2618 m)
Lac Foréant, like Lac Egorgéou, is located on the GR 58, Tour du Queyras, which passes through Saint-Véran. It is dominated by the Crête de la Taillante, a majestic Ristolas mountain rising to 3,197 m.
The Eychassier lakes (2881 m)
The Eychassier lakes, of which there are three, are located in Ristolas below the Foréant peak (3081 m), at the Col de l'Eychassier, above the Foréant lake. They can be reached from Molines en Queyras by parking your car at the Agnel refuge (2620 m) and crossing the Col Vieux (2890 m).
Lake Asti (2925 m)
The Lac d'Asti, one of the highest in the Hautes Alpes, is located in the Viso de Ristolas reserve, on the eastern slopes of the Pain de Sucre (3208 m). It offers superb views of the Taillante ridge (3197 m). It can be reached from the Col Vieux (2806 m) via the Brèche de la Ruine (2908 m)
