In Saint-Véran, in the Parc Naturel Régional du Queyras, a charming village and Europe's highest commune, Chalet Rochebrune is a house with a friendly spirit, completely renovated in 2019-2020, and whose owners are committed to protecting and respecting nature.
No buildings here, just traditional chalets and houses, in unspoilt mountain surroundings. Snowshoeing and ski touring are also available. And if skiing doesn't tempt you, Saint-Véran is also a great place to simply relax and/or walk and enjoy nature and the landscape. Groomed itineraries open to pedestrians.
A 5-minute drive takes you to the start of the Molines-Saint-Véran resort, on the Molines side, with ample parking. If your children are taking ski lessons, it's best to book them in Molines. A free shuttle bus passes in front of the chalet during the winter school vacations, but it runs very infrequently.
Very pleasant studio, refurbished in 2020, bright and well insulated, kitchenette, shower room, 140cm bed, independent entrance on the second floor, unoverlooked mountain view, south-west facing, 1.3km from downhill ski slopes and 200m from cross-country ski slopes, altitude 1910m. Exposed roof frame, velux window with remote-controlled blackout blind.
Flat-screen TV DTT satellite decoder, so all or almost all radios
Internet via 4G wifi box.
Non-smoking studio. Heating included in autumn and winter seasons, and until the end of April.
Pets not accepted.
WE and short-stay rentals possible outside school vacations.
Reservation required at least 8 days before arrival. Cheque for deposit required.

240 euros for 3 nights
280 euros for 4 nights
320 euros for 5 nights
During school vacations, weekly rental only (7 nights)
